Liberal Shikka Shastho Foundation is a right based research, advocacy organization. Liberal Shikka Shastho Foundation is a not-profit organization. It was established in 2008, through a group of young development activists are very much committed for social change, transformation and confident for raising peoples’ voices on different burning issues, which caused sufferings of the people, specially, the poor, marginal and oppressed people. The special focus of Liberal Shikka Shastho Foundation is to address economic justice, biodiversity, safe drinking water, sanitation for poor people of Bangladesh, climate change, disaster response and risk mitigation, community, women’s knowledge systems and human rights. Liberal Shikka Shastho Foundation is committed to uphold the women’s right and equitable distribution of social wealth.
Proper and timely implementation of all the programs is an indicator, which refers Liberal Shikka Shastho Foundation conscious measure towards its commitment. Liberal Shikka Shastho Foundation carry values for assessing results from any initiative i.e. program and research. The organization has effective governance, administrative procedures and a skilled human resource, but it uses all the resources to deliver quality services to its beneficiaries and community. Through proper understanding of community needs, specialized technical knowledge and unique approaches Liberal Shikka Shastho Foundation has been providing effective quality programs.
Liberal Shikka Shastho Foundation has been strengthening different people’s movements and advocacy such as people’s movement for eradicating water logging in the North & South area in Bangladesh.

Trust implemented a project “Reinforce peoples Initiative in the waterlogged Areas and Demonstration on Hanging Gardening” to reinforce peoples initiatives for farmers, so that they can gradually be mobilized or raised people voice against international Financial Institutions (IFI)s impact of southwest region for creating critical consciousness and public discourse (October, 08-February, 2011) Completed activities of the project were.
TV reporting (2 minutes duration TV reporting on hanging vegetable gardening) Two minutes duration TV reporting has broad cast in BBC-71 channel. The publishing report was converted in CD.
On 23 November 08, January 12 and February 22, 2009 three field visits were organized in the project area accompanied by journalist, development actors, and government officials. Several Reports Published in local and National Dailies.
On January 29, 2011, 13 February, 2013 and 20 February, 2013 three leadership training were organized in the project Area. The Training were facilitated by local community leaders and experts from Tree of Life Bangaldesh Trust.

project of Liberal Shikka Shastho Foundation is “An Initiative to strengthen Peoples engagement in the Tree of Life Bangladesh Trust funded project for ensuring Justice” The initiative aims to ensure peoples participation in the Tree of Life funded projects and conducted advocacy for ensuring economic, social environmental positive impact and justice for the project affected people. The initiative was also funded by Alor Dishary (October 2011-March 2013). Completed activities of the project were.
On February 3, 4, 5 and 6, 2009 four FGD were organized in the project areas.
For strengthen people’s engagement in the ADB funded projects for ensuring justice with the support of Alor Dishar & Liberal Shikka Shastho Foundation started monitoring the Project. For the overall coordination and ensuring the participation of the community Liberal Shikka Shastho Foundation formed South west water management and people’s movement coordination committee. Under that committee all the activities are going on.
On March 2012 an opinion sharing meeting was organized at the auditorium of Tala, Satkhira. The meeting was chaired by Kamal Hossain Joarder, convener, southwest water management and movement coordination committee.
As the continuity of the activity south west water management and people’s movement coordination committee organized a Peoples convention at the Multi-Purpose hall of Victoria collage in Tala, Satkhira, Bangladesh on March 15; 2015.The meeting was chaired by Kamal Hossain Joarder, Convey nor, South west water management and people’s movement coordination committee. The chief guest of the convention was Dr. Alam, Ex- principal, Homeopathic collage, Barishal. Md. Jahangir Alam, Day Night College, Khulna, were present as the special guest.
On November 29, 2008 in the Western Inn Hotel, Khulna, in association with Liberal Shikka Shastho Foundation, Tree of Life & BINA an Extended Discussion Meeting of Right justification and implementation forum of Labor’s working In the Shrimp processing Factories was held.
On 5th March 2011, at 03 pm in the conference room of the development organization Tree of Life, an opinion sharing meeting of Analyze of the present status of laborers in shrimp industry and implementation forum was organized Tapan Kumar Ray, BINA Memorial Social Welfare Trust the meeting. Liberal Shikka Shastho Foundation distributed relief materials (Rice, dal, saline water purification tablets, and fresh water) among the affected Munda and Mahato communities of Dacop Upazill in Khulna of the on June 27, 2011 with the support of Tree of Life, Khulna.
With the support of global water Partnership, Bangladesh women and water network, Liberal Shikka Shastho Foundation and Bhairab River Basin Area Water Partnership organized a workshop at Alor Dishari auditorium on February 12, 2011.
On July 27, 2009 Agriculture Extension office and Liberal Shikka Shastho Foundation jointly organized a day long workshop on “Mehegoni (Tree) for crop production; potential medicinal plant” at the Karitas auditorium, Khulna. Faruk Hossain Alor Dishari of Khulna was present as the chief guest of the workshop.
As a secretariat of Mancha for Conservation of Coastal Environment (MCCE), Khulna Liberal Shikka Shastho Foundation with other partners of the Mancha observed the Mangrove Action Day 2011 on 26 July, 2013 organizing a press conference.
Tree of Life Bangladesh Trust allocated fund to Liberal Shikka Shastho Foundation conducting research on “Post Disaster Aid Effectiveness and Bangladesh’s Ground Reality” to establish appropriate strategies and approach for the international donors with the government in order to best engage and help strengthening the disaster recovery and rehabilitation efforts.
With the support of Tree of Life Bangladesh Trust conducted a Participatory study among the Indigenous Munda Community of Satkhira District to establish their rights for empowerment.

The general annual meeting of the organization was held on December 4, 2015 at Liberal Shikka Shastho Foundation office. The meeting was chaired by the chairman of the organization Naznin Sultana. Majority member of the organization were present at the meeting.
